Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, has seen a massive surge in followers across his social media accounts following his death earlier this week. Kirk was shot and killed on Wednesday, and 22 year old college student Tyler Robinson has been arrested in connection with the attack.

According to data from Social Blade, Kirk’s YouTube channel grew from 3.81 million subscribers on September 9 to 3.92 million the next day. By Saturday, the number had climbed further to 4.56 million. His TikTok account for The Charlie Kirk Show also saw a major jump, rising from 7.3 million followers before his death to 9.1 million within days.

On Instagram, Kirk gained another 3.5 million followers, showing how the news of his death has drawn more attention to his platforms.

The nonprofit organization he founded, Turning Point USA, is also experiencing growth online. Its YouTube channel rose from 3.31 million to 3.68 million subscribers between Tuesday and Saturday. The group’s TikTok following grew from 472,900 to 571,900, while its Facebook page increased from 4.1 million to more than 6 million followers during the same period.

The rise in interest has also translated into new inquiries about starting Turning Point chapters on college campuses. Marcus Wada, the organization’s director of productions, has been leading memorial events while also preparing a public service in Kirk’s honor.

Turning Point USA host Alex Clark shared on social media that vigils are being held outside the group’s headquarters, with Wada personally addressing mourners. Clark also announced that a large public memorial service will take place in Arizona on September 21.

Kirk’s death has sparked an outpouring of support from political leaders and activists across the United States, while his legacy continues to grow both online and through his organization.
